Gigs are short period freelance jobs which allow to showcase your unique talents which you possess and which you can apply for completing the service you were assigned. These jobs are important and we as freelancers base our success on this only.

This suggests that gigs are the building block of your success in business. This perception was happened when we reviewed the gigs which were posted on fiverr.com, for example. This noting made to feel that either they are not knowing how or they were just filling the gap while writing gigs. In both the cases they need us and so, this blog to you.

1. Make your gigs scientifically tuned:

Researcher say that your precticing ‘scientific temper or attitude in writing gigs make make one to desire to know, understand and ask questions for gathering more data for verification so that they may consider giving job and except better consequences (Gardner, 1975; Osborne, Simon & Collins, 2003). Such consideration suggest two things:

a). that your gigs should be neet, clear and concise to the the point.

b) that it should meet behavioural needs of the buyers.

If we develop the gigs on scientific temper then both needs are possible .

2. Let gigs empethize with buyers:

Designing empethic gig is other issue. When you understand the needs of your buyers, we say you are empathic. So it is your ability to feel and understand the buyers' needs and then placing that need in your gigs. So that buyers can experience your empathy for them. In such a case only, you may claim to be empathic. It mean that your gigs should cover all those issues which a buyer may be expecting you to include in your the gigs. In that case you will know him better as well.

For being an empathic gig writer you may need taking some caution as below.

I) Listen showing concern to buyers:

Whenever he talks listen his fully, if need ask back. For clarity you may ask for video conferencing.

ii) Learn their emotions and value them:

This trick will pay well. It’s more when you need others attentiveness and awareness. Better pay more attention and design gig covering this issue.

iii) Convince you can solve their problems:

Very useful advise. Hair trusting you with problem is his believing in you. It’s better if you will be concerned by making to feel you listen attentively to understand and incorporate it in the solution of the problem which your buyers want to resolve.

iv) Sometimes restating problems pay:

Sometimes, restating the problems click. So, one way of impressing and reassuring the buyers is by restating the problem.

v) May ask for content when it starts:

You can further impress your buyers by asking if you start the job? By doing so, you will doubly make buyers feel that you are with him.

3. Show that you support your buyers:

We aren’t much concerned to the definition of impression but here we are talking about impression in two contexts. Your chances for building impression is when you are chanced to submit gigs and when buyers talk you. It mean your gig and your way of relating with them will count in you success as a freelance. We will like take each below:

A) Design need based gigs:

Your first point of interaction with buyer is when you applies as candidate for their projects. We have seen people have designed one letter for all projects and allowed that later in all using same. This may not be the way and… better give a thought, what they do.

My this blog is for different type of freelancers -specially those listening us. To them, we want to take some caution when applying to buyers

a) Keep your gigs concise.

When applying, keep it point wise. Your application is your first impression and it will make or break your business. You can guarantee your brand image by being compact, concise and to the point when writing your gigs. Once you have their attention, you can expand it.

b) Revise your gigs regularly:

Better keep watch on your work. Keep your gigs checked and updated. Your revisiting gigs will brandatise gigs.

c) Dont exaggerate:

An important issue. The abundance of anything is bad. Make sure that your gig is clear and to the point, not excessively spent. The best way out is to visualise first and write later.

d). Show that you’re unique:

You make sure that your unique values and your abilities are showcased in the gigs.

B) Cover the extra mile to relate:

As said, again you have a rare chance. Better use it. Here are some tips:

a) Be Value Orientated:

Whenever a change, keep you ready before meeting - you can refer to the data by referring to websites of the company, blogs and so on. Idea is to create values for your buyers.

b) Be active on forums:

It pays. You can improve your image by being active on online forums and social media pages dedicated to freelance workers.

c) Show off yourself:

When you happen to interact with your buyer, maybe telepathically, you can show yourself off. In showing off, you will let buyers know about you, your competence and your calibre so that they may find you free and unique.

d). Ask questions:

People like closeness. Socialisation makes us close and related. As a close companion, you can further impress your buyers by allowing them to talk about their needs and expectations.

4. A sample of designed gig:

Your gigs are the mini description of what, why and how you can do for one who need you. Since there are only one or two chance for you then you are better to use these chances fully.

Gigs are one of such chance where you can show-off you. Better use this chance fully. We already have given thought on this issue and intend share you. May be that some issue may click to your third story as well. It already happened to me. These are:

We are in HR. Recently we have designed one for use. Same is presented below for reference. If interesting you may take some clues for designing own:

This gig is to provide HR consultancy to your company.

2. What can we do for you?

You give us chance and we will,

a) we can conduct a HR study, prepare report, discuss and execute the recommendations.

b). We can customise, revive and/or executes systems essential for HR functions in the company.

c). We can plan and strategist your HR and business as per your business needs

3. What may be deliverables?

a)We will provide all agreed write-ups, booklets, manuals, write up of rule and regulation, formats, letters and so on.

b) As per red, remain in touch for needed project, support, consultation, counselling and so on. We may not charge for it.

c) We will provide all the support as needed and agreed by the company.

4. What may be methodology?

Depending on HR needs it may be below:

  • Gather data from all corners, design tool, administer, report discuss, execute etc as per need.
  • Design HR functions as per need, discuss and execute.
  • As per need, train and develop manpwer.

5. What is our credential?

My credentials are:

- I'm a PhD in psychology.

- Worked as a researcher in IIMA-

- Worked as HR in Industry, 20+ years.
